St. Cwyfan's Church, ABERFFRAW

Eglwys Sant Cwyfan ( St.Kevin's Church). This medieval Church is sat upon a walled mound known as Cribinau with access only at low tide. The 12th Century Church was once on land accessible from the mainland, but the sea has washed the land away over the years thus creating the island. In the 19th Century, a wall was built around the remaining land to keep it together. Services are still held today in the Church.
